Playwright August Wilson has an aggressive liver cancer, and says it's just a matter of time. "It's not like poker, you can't throw your hand in. I've lived a blessed life. I'm ready." Wilson is completing his 10-play cycle—one for each decade—that chronicles the black experience in 20th-century America. Two of those works—Fences and The Piano Lesson—earned Pulitzer Prizes.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) now supports an initiative to ban same-sex marriages in Arizona. However, the "liberal" GOP senator is against a federal constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, believing those are state matters.
