Uno Dos TREY
Gregory Kieth is the actor who portrays Trey on Noah's Arc, and his character is a draft pick. Quiet, deep voice, bodybuilder, a nurse? doctor? anesthesiologist? and so sweet. Plus, the romantic storyline that he shares with Alex (Rodney Chester) is the most in-depth the show offers; their relationship is multi-dimensional and they have realistic issues. (Fair warning: we promised a three week grace period; on Thursday, expect our deconstruction of Noah, Wade and the entire show.) Gregory was an interesting casting decision; he's very fair and has exotic features, and to be honest, we all have our own biases and that was an initial hurdle to our liking his character. But the subtle beauty of the casting shows that black men and women are beautiful in all shapes, sizes and all colors. Sometimes we want dark roast, other times a cafe au lait.

Gregory Keith (Trey) is the only reason I watch Noah's Arc. That man is fine!

Gregory Keith is amazing, by far the best, cutest, actor on Noah's Arc

Okay so I doubt that there a lot of women posting comments on here but after reading all of this, I felt the need to inerject! First of all, Gregory is beautiful!!! Flipping through channels and running across his fine face and beautiful body is what got me interested in watching the show in the first place. I do have to admit that at first I didn't even know what LOGO was or that I even had the channel and upon first glance I was sprung until I started catching the storyline and saw with my own eyes beautiful black men kissing each other. Now, I am (or was) addicted to queer as folk and don't interrupt my Lword (all of this coming from a straight woman that has been affected negatively from the down low epidemic) but I have to be honest and say I whince every now and then to see what you on Noah's Arc. I absolutely love the show and mainly because it makes me confront my prejudices that I tried to hide for a long time. I got heavily into E. Lynn Harris books trying to understand the lifestyle that had broke my heart a couple of times and had made it up in my head that every man was gay and I would be alone for ever (my family begged me to stop reading the books andstole all my copies...lol)The show isn't helping things!!!LOL Naw, but fa' real, this has opened my eyes to the fact that as a black woman whom can sit and watch white gay characters all day long...I had a problem with my own people! Thank goodness for this show...and for Gregory Keith...(See, that's my damn problem!!LOL)

Trey is very, very fine. He's very ripped and has a baby face. I'm kind of glad that he's taking a break from Alex; Alex was a little bitchy... well, "hella" bitchy. Hope that he and Alex will get back together; the jury's still out on that one, however.
Sidenote: Before watching "Noah's Arc," I'd never heard anyone utter the words "hella hot" or "hella sexy" or "that's what's up." I must have been hiding under a rock somewhere or something.

Noah's Arc is a good show. I think that it's very fun and lite, especially for people who don't deal with gay lifestyles and it is full of humor.
Unfortunately, I feel that those reasons are the show's pain and I say this especially because of Noah and Alex, who are the two I have mixed feelings for. These 2 kinds of characters I've been seeing on too many T.V. shows and movies, too many times. Their version of a "gay-black male in the city" in the sense of who and how they are is too "c-nt" in gay slang.
In the show, there are 4 lead gay "black" men (to differ from Queer As Folk) who are as a majority, too stereotypical, which does turn me off a little much. (The way they act doesn't make it in any way different from Queer As folk, which I didn't like at all).
In the show, the men criticize the whole "DL" complex, but I find "the guessing game" much more interesting than four rather obviously "fem" gay men whom all together act more a "girl" than a "boy". It plays with every stereotype with humor, true. I respect the show for not taking the tone of everything they do so seriously. However, these little stereotypes we've seen before and clearly people don't care to see too heavily hence these sort of shows don't get played much on more popular networks more often.
I rather see more masculine men on tv as leads rather than supporting roles. I prefer men who "happen to be gay" or men who are " gay/bi, but aren't so damn flamboyant" to the point that they can be debated as to whether or not all gay men are like this. I want more dimension to what is percieved as gay men, regardless if it's a comedy or not.
It is too much like Will & Grace with the whole gay-themed jokes and too Queer as Folk with the obvious flamboyance of it. If you notice, the more intriguing characters are less "fem" like Chance, whom has relationship issues. Wade, whom has that non-Flamboyant appeal. Trey, for his obvious "non-fem" beauty and mannerisms. Even Ricky along with his many men, whom are overall attractive, especially since they usually look and act like everyday men. I give it a 7.

Hey
This is a great show, but do they ever get naked, i mean it's hard watching a "clean" gay show...

For the type of show that this is I really enjoy it. I have been waiting, watching re-runs of the show and thirsting for more...oh yeah...and for you all...Trey is mine. :-) Don't make me do a "Chance" on your house. :-) hahahaha

Why is Noah's Arc shipping Gregory Kieth (Trey) off to Africa..? NOOooooo.... Please, please, I need more Trey!!!!
Posted by: Niccollo | 02 August 2006 at 22:45
I think Gregory Kieth's character Trey, is one of the more complex, not to mention multi-dimensional characters on the show... not to mention wonderful to look at. In a way, he's almost the show's Ricky Riccardo to Alex's Lucy. I'm praying they don't keep him in Africa... Bring that man back immediately!

I had to laugh when I saw the Matthew Rush comment. You'll
likely see him on Noah's Ark before you do on Noah's Arc. He
enjoys playing in the "snow", far too much...onscreen AND off.
Better look for him on QAF, you got a better chance with that.
Besides, who needs him (am I the only one who finds him odd
looking facially...though the body is nice?)? We got TREY!!!

I am (much like Jeanette) a female viewer and lover of Noah's Arc. Watch out guys we are loving it, too. But I have an honest (and naive) question about the actors on this series. And trust me, this is just to quench my curiosity. Is Gregory Kieth and/or the other actors on this show actually homosexual in real life or what? It doesn't take away from them or their characters whatsoever, but I just would love to know. Thanks.

Whatever - not fussed about what shade his skin is, but it is a worry though that no-one else has spotted that his surname is KIETH, not Keith. (yep, go check the DVD package credits if you must). It would be nice if we referred to him properly whether we're slating or praising.
(Oh and to me, at least, he is yummy, with a spoon. Mmmm Mmmm...)
