No Homo
Just days before the opening of get Rich or Die Tryin', Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's publicity machine goes into overdrive. His latest beef is for the gays. Rap isn't for the homos because the genre is too aggressive:
Being gay isn't cool. It's not what the music is based on. There's always been conflict at the centre of hip-hop, because it's all about which guy has the competitive edge, and you can't be that aggressive if you're gay. ... If being straight isn't your preference, well, that's up to you. But there's no successful [gay] men in hip-hop.
Fiddy, we disagree. First of all, you've been extremely successful. Second, men can't be that aggressive and gay? Obviously he hasn't met the Rod. Seriously, all these Fiddy-gayisms sound like "the lady doth protest too much." But here's good news: Curtis admits that there are some other gayish rappers: "Some rappers are fruity, but they don't say they're gay out in the open." No they don't; they usually just talk about gays all the time.
Interesting talk from a young man whose prison nickname was "the slut" and admits to not having a girlfriend.
This is why I come here.
Most of his comments are so stupid you don't have to isolate them to draw attention to them.
This dude is pure comedy.

I dropped my 50 pennies into the gutter a long time ago when his ignorance became clear to me.
All GAY ... SGL ... Bisexual ... Bi-Curious individuals ... or just anybody who understands the need to respect diversity if our society is to EVER prosper ... should BOYCOTT this useless and 'dangerous' roll-mobel and anything that associates with him.
Think about this when you buy a ticket to that movie or one of his CDs ... we're all too soft for Hip Hop, and being gay just ain't right.

50 Cent is another desparate celebrity who will do anything to get attention because he has no talent. I have to admit that his first album was stellar, but I wish that I didn't waste my $10 on his latest album. If 50 puts out another album, including this soundtrack, I will not be supporting the album, his steroid use and his buffoonery.

Consider the source before you judge someone. First of all that quote that that nameless article is using is over 2.5 years old. The press loves to cause controvery because they need more hits to their website. Just like how the press is trying to spin a new rap war with 50 and Kanye when it's totally a lie. 50 and Kanye's commenys have been twisted so much that you can't even read the stuff. That's mainly why Kanye doesn't speak to the press unless he knows you otherwise he's not doing interviews. So again consider the source.

far more from earlier collections were in my hip-hop collection.
current generations' dick swaggin' doesn't much inspire me. unlike eminem -- none of them have dropped trou to give me anything to consider. color, sex, race, gender, testosterone....most of all -- the latter. didn't recognize that, if any, as a music calibrator.
TV: The Drug of a Nation -- more to those lyrics than dick-swaggin.

Clearly 50's stupidity surpasses his talent. How can you be in the entertainment business trying to sell CD's and movies and at the same time making derogatory comments about demographic groups. You know, all of this talk about 50's comments about the gays reminds me of a joke that stand-up comedian (ienne)/Drag Queen Coco Peru said during her TV special on Logo. It goes like this- When she dies and goes to heaven, she meets all of the people she knew on earth that she thought were gay, but that just never came out. Well, you don't have to be gay to have 'gaydar'...point it at fiddy...buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! Let's be real, fiddy is playing his cards right.
