The nationwide tour of Grant Hill's personal art collection moves to the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, which is the basketball player's alma matter (B.A. ’94). Something All Our Own: The Grant Hill Collection of African American Art features 46 collages, paintings, prints and mixed media works by artists such as Hughie Lee Smith (above in The Dreamer, 1999), Romare Bearden, Elizabeth Catlett, Malcolm Brown, Phoebe Beasley, John Coleman and John Biggers (below, in The Upper Room, 1984), among others.
Grant Hill and his fabulous wife, the Grammy-nominated singer Tamia, began collecting in 1995. The couple has donated millions of dollars to dozens of organizations—including $1 million to Duke University. Something All Our Own: The Grant Hill Collection of African American Art began touring the country in 2003.

This week, rare works by Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Donatello to be auctioned in New York.








This looks great and includes many of my favorite artists. I might need to drive up there and check it out.
