Lee Hayes, author of the popular Passion Marks and A Deeper Blue: Passion Marks II (read our review), shares his lit picks and favorite beats with Rod 2.0. It seems that we enjoy not only the same musical artists, but, have the exact same tracks on heavy rotation:
On the Bookshelf: As far as new authors, I'm a big fan of Dayne Avery who wrote I Wrote This Song and Blair Poole, the author of Breathe. I just finished Angels & Demons by Dan Brown which is the precursor for The Da Vinci Code. Not sure what I'm reading next.
On the iPod: As far as my iPod, it's Jill Scott all the way, baby! In particular, the CD entitled Beautifully Human and the songs, #6 "Cross My Mind", "Bedda at Home" #7, #11 "Whatever," and #12 "Not Like Crazy." Hell, the whole damn CD!
Later this week, look for our review of Dayne Avery's I Wrote This Song.

i wrote this song was a good and easy read. the ending was a shocker to me...
right after reading that one i read a book titeld SONS by Alphonso Morgan... now this book is the deal fa real. It ws so good i finished it in a day despite him beng heavy handed on the descriptions. (but that made it even better, that i felt i was in new york). Soon will be working on Passion Marks

I've heard so many good things about Lee Hayes' books. I need to join the bandwagon and read them (I do own them though).
And Dayne and Blair's books are great additions to the black LGBT collective.
