· Pam Spaulding highlights the latest stunt by Vernon Robinson, the North Carolina congressional candidate who describes himself as the "black Jesse Helms." In a direct mailing, Robinson hints that opponent Brad Miller is gay by calling him a "childless, middle-aged personal injury lawyer." Miller says he is "stunned" by the name-calling, and, saddened that his wife of nearly 25 years had to go on the defensive and reveal that she could not bear children because of a hysterectomy at age 27.
· New York state begins hearing the same-sex marriage suit and Queerty points to a live web broadcast in front of the Court of Appeals.
