Earlier this week, we reported the case of Hans Glaubitz, the openly gay Dutch ambassador who demanded a transfer from Estonia after harassment and threats to his black Cuban boyfriend ...
Raul Garcia Lao, born in Santiago de Cuba, grew up in Havana, and, describes himself as a "model, dancer, choreographer and teacher." Apparently, Lao has lived in Estonia for some time and is one of the nation's leading salsa instructors. He and Glaubitz are moving to Montreal. Best of luck.
On a related note, today is Gay Pride in nearby Warsaw, Poland. Krystian Legierski, the black Polish gay activist recently profiled here, is one of the lead organizers.

Thanks for the update. I have to admit, I was curious what the boyfriend looked like. Lawd have mercy.
I'm a new reader here and really love the national and international focus. It's great to see gay black men all over the world---especially in places you would never expect.

I'm reading Lao's bio and he was a very well known dancer in Poland. Did he defect?
