· The Gay Games 2006 wrap in Chicago. Outsports offers a detailed perspective on the Games: "The topography of Chicago can best be described as flat and that's also an appropriate adjective for Gay Games VII."
· In the men's basketball final, the San Francisco Rock Dogs defeated the New York Warriors 49-33 to win the gold medal. Second at right is DeMarco Majors, recently profiled at Clik and Club Rimshot.
· Across the pond, The Guardian reports from the Games on the visibility of gays in American sports, concluding, "Gay U.S. athletes still struggle with coming out." However, one activist noted that "more and more standout high-school athletes are out, and that one of her missions has been to counsel coaches about how to deal with such situations."
· The 1st World Outgames will begin July 29 in Montreal. The visa woes have been settled for several hundred guests who are scheduled to attend a gay rights conference at the games. The Outgames resulted from a dispute between the Federation of Gay Games and organizers in Montreal, where the Gay Games originally were slated to be held.








I didn't see any pictures of Keith Boykin on Outsports photos of the wrestling competition. What's up with that?
