The new Pharrell Williams-Louis Vuitton campaign drops in August. Sure, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss will accompany PW in the adverts but it's obvious that he is the star. LV Artistic Director Marc Jacobs describes the aesthetic as a "touch of the street, elevated to a rich, modern chic."
It's over-the-top and fabulous. So freakin' clever of LV to embrace the conspicuous consumption of hip-hop and use one of its leading artists to front their new collection.
As Victor Calderone and Peter Rauhofer say, If you're gonna do it, do it properly.
