Gabrielle Union: "You're Nobody Until Someone Says You're Gay"

Gabrielle Union says that she is thrilled to finally play a lesbian—even if some in her family disagree. The star of Deliver Us from Eva says in the September Out that some family members questioned her decision to play Annette Bening's lover in the upcoming Running With Scissors.

Her reply: "You had no problem when I was in movies as a lap dancer or killing, like, 50 people. Why get riled up when I'm playing someone who happens to find love with another woman?"

Also, Gabrielle jokes, "You haven't really made it until you've got the gay rumors. I've tried, but it never seems to take."
