· A failed Iraq policy. Thousands of American servicemen killed or injured. The economy floundering. However, Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO), the lead sponsor of the proposed constitutional ban on gay marriage in the House, says the “future is grim” if gay marriage is not banned because it "is the most important issue that we face today.”
· GOP congressman caught sending emails to 16 year old page. Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) asks the young man how old he is, what he wants for his birthday and requests a "pic." Teen reports emails as "sick, sick, sick, sick, sick."
Foley also refers to another young'n as "having a nice body." Apparently, Foley's sexuality has been open secret on the Hill for more than a decade, even calling a press conference to admit that he wouldn't answer questions.
