· The Washington Blade surveys businesses preparing for the new smoking ban in the nation's capital. Some nightlife promoters say the transition "is likely to be substantial" for the lgbt community because of higher smoking rates. Others say that's all the more reason to welcome the ban and hope it "could eliminate the link between drinking, socializing and smoking."
· Report: Most lgbt domestic abuse survivors do not report.

Rockmond is a great role model. He is always positive.

Honestly, in the beginning I was on the fence about gay marriage. But it's spreading across teh country and the world. I'm very excited.

I live in Maryland and we all know that there are many black people here and many black gay men. It would be exciting if the state allowed same-sex marriage, especially because DC is right next door and the federal government is so anti-gay.

This is quite superficial, but honestly there is somewhat of an upside to the smoking ban--at least during the warmer days--it makes for easier crusing.
