Tonight from HBO Documentaries: Positively Naked. Nearly one hundred HIV-positive men and women were part of Spencer Tunick's unique ensemble that was featured on the cover of POZ magazine's tenth-anniversary issue in 2004. The film goes behind the scenes and documents the process and talks with many of those who were featured in the cover photo, such Donald Andrew Agarrat.
Tunick's work is the subject of two previous HBO documentaries. He is known for his massive urban installations that have featured as many as 7,000 naked bodies in artistic formations. The nudes becomes abstract due to the sheer volume in such close proximity. In the case of the POZ anniversary issue, it achieved another end: Personalizing the face of a dreaded-illness and humanizing the stories of the millions persons.

POZ "35 Ones To Watch" (Rod 2.0)

Spencer Tunick has travelled across the world with these public art installations. Have you seen the other documentaries on HBO? Incredible mind.

Rod, thanks for the mention. I attended a screening of it hosted by HBO and POZ last Tuesday. Seeing it brought back all the trepidation and all the relentless of choosing to be publicly seropositive and naked on the cover of a national magazine.
There were and still are some disconcerting disconnects--and only recognized two other people who participated among the bevy of film/television industry types at the screening--but I appreciated the stories that were told and look forward to many more.
