The pressure mounts upon Larry Craig to resign from the Senate and reports say the bathroom-cruising Idaho Republican may be say good-bye as early as today. FOX News reports the Republican National Committee and National Republican Senatorial Committee have warned Craig "if he does not resign, he will not receive financial support in the upcoming election and it will recruit a Republican opponent to run against him."
Party leaders have taken the unusual step of preparing "a statement calling for his resignation but have held back on issuing it in the hope that the senator would act on his own."
Idaho Lt. Gov. James Risch, also a Republican, is the early favorite to replace Craig.
