Over the weekend, the Idaho Statesman published five damning reports by gay men who described having sex, or, being propositioned by Sen. Larry Craig, the de-closeted right-wing, anti-gay Idaho Republican who was arrested in a men's room sex sting. "They are telling their stories now because they are offended by Craig's denials, including his famous statement, 'I am not gay, I never have been gay.' "
The report includes audio files and graphic descriptions of sexual relations with the senator, such as this MP3 where David Phillips describes "Larry Craig performing anal sex on him and how Craig's mood changed when the act was complete."
Phillips is the 42-year-old bearish Washington man whose recent claims of sloppy sex with with the notorious anti-gay senator created a firestorm. In addition to Phillips, other men going on the record include escort Mike Jones—who exposed Rev. Ted Haggard's penchant for rentboys and crystal meth—who says Craig paid him for sex "in late 2004 or early 2005"; Greg Ruth, who says he was a 24-year-old college Republican in 1981 when "he was hit on by Craig" at an Idaho Republican meeting and reported the incident to his uncle, a retired Army officer, who corroborates the report; and, Tom Russell, who says the senator also came onto him in the 1980s.
"A fifth gay man, who is from Boise but who declined to be named for fear of retaliation, offered a recent and telling account." The man says in September 2006, he was "flying from Boise to Washington, D.C., on the same flights as Craig and Craig's wife, Suzanne." During a layover at Denver, he used the same restroom as Larry Craig, who was in "the next stall [who] moved his hand slowly, palm up, under the divider." This is the exact same behavior alleged in the Minneapolis airport arrest.
Via written statement, Craig says "these latest allegations are completely false and have no basis in reality." Spin, spin, baby. Anti-gay and de-closeted right-wing politicians: It's really the gift that keeps on giving.

Sweet holy schadenfreude! Idahomosexualis expialidocious!
As a former citizen of that ketchup-red state (born and raised), I can't help but enjoy the final fall of this closeted hater.
As you said, Rod, spin baby, spin.
