Say it ain't so. Rod 2.0 fave and supermodel slash reality television host Tyson Beckford hints this may be his first and last season at Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel. The iconic supermodel is apparently clashing with the network programmers and voiced his frustrations in an interview with Latoya West at the Reality TV Blog.
"It’s pretty cool, [but] I mean, you gotta fight with the network because they also gotta make good TV. Me, I’m not really so concerned with good TV. I’m more concerned about putting the right model out there, ’cause that person gotta carry my name. It’s more of that than anything else…I would never do a TV show like this. I don’t really watch those shows, like American Idol or America’s Next Top Model… I don’t really watch ‘em. So it’s like the first and I think it’s the last thing that I’ll be doing."
At the end of the interview, Tyson is actually discussing his work with the show in the past tense. "I know some network will call me and say, 'Hey, Tyson, we're going to give you your own thing to do.' When that day happens … Keep watching [Make Me A Supermodel] though. Keep supporting the kids."
Tyson Beckford has come full-circle on the new reality series because in the beginning, he was a little stiff and it took a minute for him to find his groove. What fabulous groove it is. Tyson is easily the strongest asset to the show—second place award goes to hottie gay-friendly prison guard Ben seen below (left) with openly gay contestant Ronnie—and it's become crazy sexy to watch him encourage the male models to make out. "It takes a real man to lick another man's face," Tyson recently told several models. Yes, one can only hope ....

i think tyson leaving the show is a damn good thing. in fact he should leave before it's over. that might be an interesting scandal. and they can replace him with anyone off the street who can read off a cue card dead pan. in fact replace him with someone ugly. that would make the show interesting.
