Finally. The House Judiciary Committee serves former White House political strategist Karl Rove with a subpoena.
The committee ordered Rove to appear July 10 to testify on allegations he was a key player in pressing the Justice Department to dismiss some U.S. attorneys and to prosecute Democrats.
It had authorized the subpoena earlier, but only delivered it Thursday after Rove's attorney said he would not appear voluntarily, Chairman John Conyers, D-Michigan, said in a written statement.
The House and Senate Judiciary Committees have been engaged in a bitter public feud with the White House, the Justice Department and top Bush Administration figures over the dismissal of the US Attorneys and the discredited prosecution and imprisonment of Don Siegelman, the former Democratic governor of Alabama. 60 Minutes has reported Rove led the hit job against Siegelman.

Good call, Luther. Waxman is on House Oversight and the fabulous John Conyers is on House Judiciary. Mr. Conyers is after Rove and hopefully will get him. Fireworks ain't it!
