Tyson Beckford Headlines DSquared2 S/S 2009 Show in Milan
While the fashion runways in New York City are usually as diverse as a Junior League meeting in Scarsdale, there is always some diversity at fashion week in Milan. Rod 2.0 fave and supermodel slash reality television host Tyson Beckford was the main attraction at DSquared2's Tuesday showing of the Spring/Summer 2009 menswear collection. Obviously, the collection was inspired by the 1980s boogie down Bronx fashion of LL Cool J and Run DMC. Not sure is that your cup of tea or is the retro b-boy look too 2002ish. More photos below.
DSquared's s/s 2009 show had plenty of flava. In addition to Tyson Beckford, the lovely and talented models Will Lemay, Anthony Gallo and Andre Douglas were also spotted strutting their stuff for the Canadian identical twin designers Dean and Dan Caten. More models and much more skin after the jump.
Above in the swimwear is Rihanna video hunk Anthony Gallo, represented by Vision Model Management.
In February, Tyson Beckford headlined the amazing all black male Sean John show that capped Fashion Week.

Rod...Gov. Patterson put gay marriage laws into effect in New York State...Don't you think its about high time you married him??? lol!
what a fab way to start out my day...all of that hotness...
you'd think New York would take its cues from London, Paris, and Milan and add more diversity to the catwalk...just a thought.
Will Lemay and Tyson: look great as always...
Andre Gallo: DAAAAAMMMMNNNNNN!!! I think I love him, I wanna have, like, ten thousand of his babies (c) American Beauty LOL!

While I applaude the use of black models but why only when they have an ethnic inspired line? These great models need to be in everyone's shows representing the divesity of the people that are their consumers. Having worked in the industry the top consumers of these luxury lines are not all one complexion.

A typical case of Black male masculinity being exploited.
