S. Flemming

This election is becoming pure foolishness. I will be so glad when this crap is over and done with.

Derrick from Philly

You're so right, S. Flemming. And too many American voters are just plain ignorant and stubborn. If Barack only had a mother--and never a father, he'd be 20 points ahead of that crazy actin' old man.

I hope they find a video of Missy Sarah Palin speakin' in tongues. That would top off this whole election year, wouldn't it, S. Flemming?

BL

oh let's not assume McCain's last minute posturing will not hurt him. hopefully it will

S. Flemming

LOL @ Derrick ... that would be a kicker, for real. And the sad part is, there may be one out there somewhere!

Lavenderpop

I'm gonna watch the debate at a viewing party put on by an Obama group at a Chicago hotel. I'm lookin' for Obama to lay it down and let America know who really has a plan. McCain-Palin have been talkin' a lot of sh*t and even the conservatives are not fooled anymore. Today conservative columnist Kathleen Parker asked for Palin to step down because she's "Out Of Her League." Now that's deep. Obama needs to wipe the floor with McCain and get his 10+ point lead on!

Louis

I agree with Lavenderpop in that Obama needs to "wipe up the floor with McCain", but my concern is that Obama will present facts, logic, and well thought out responses to the questions posed by the moderator, yet McClain will merely give folksy responses and talk about his experiences as a prisoner of war, and how great Americans are and as a consequence, will be considered "the winner" by the "average" American.

I am becoming convinced that the average American isn't an educated, logically thinking, rational person, but rather someone who is swayed by jingles, slogans, good ole boy tales (he's just like us, so he must be okay)visual images (commercials) and having their fears pandered to.

This election is a joke. Two Senators that don't have a clue as to what goes on in the day to day lives of the average person. All of that money raised to bash each other could go to help the Wall Street bail-out ......really!
I'm still undecided and pray I do the right thing at the right time.

Ryan

ooh amos--ON POINT!

the debate was an utter waste of time..neither one really showed he is truly willing or able to run this country...

backbiting about things that happened in the past, claiming about how you WOULD have voted if you were in office when crucial decisions were made (obama), constantly answering EVERY question given to you with some historical event or some past politican you knew without connecting it to the original question or how to deal with the issue at hand (mccain) didnt help much in regard to showing these are two candidates worthy of being president...

neither had any kind of fire, both looked as if they didnt want to be there....and mccain really should have just canceled because he looked WORSE than obama did on that stage...

this election needs to end...SOON. next week's debate will be all types of wrong...people are only going to watch to see if biden destroys palin on the podium--which he will and will tune in to see if palin can construct a coherent sentence about AN ISSUE...ANY ISSUE.

i'm so NOT looking forward to another four years...with EITHER MAN.

C. Baptiste-Williams

i think congress has two parties... this financial crisis is the fault of both parties and was more than the past 8 years in the making

Shaterrel Boyd

obama let mcclain fie off on his ass he just said little thin i guess it was becuz he didnt want them to think he was another crazy black man
