Day Three of Pitbull Palin. On the same day the Dow Jones drops to a four year low, the McCain-Palin campaign diverts attention elsewhere. In an interview with William Kristol, the neo-conservative apparatchik turned New York Times columnist, Gov. Sarah Palin questioned the McCain camp's alleged reluctance to make Rev. Jeremiah Wright a pivotal issue.
[T]he Alaska governor said there should be more discussion about Wright, Obama's pastor of 20 years at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. The Democratic candidate denounced Wright and severed ties with the church last spring after videotapes surfaced showing Wright making anti-American and anti-Semitic comments from the pulpit. ...
When Kristol pressed Palin about Wright, she replied, "I don't know why that association isn't discussed more, because those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country."
She continued, "To me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up."
That last quote sure sounds like "a John McCain call" for Palin to telegraph Rev. Wright to the media and right wing talk radio. With 4,000 plus news stories in one day, sounds like Palin did her job.
In April and May, the North Carolina GOP and National Republican Congressional Committee aired race-baiting commercials in North Carolina and Mississippi. In March, a McCain strategist was suspended after caught instant messaging and emailing Wright's incendiary videos to reporters. At that time, McCain promised to run a "respectful campaign" but that has changed since his poll numbers are sinking with the stock market.

Isn't it time we start discussing Mrs. America Sarah and her husband's association with a secessionist, anti-american organization?

I was thinkin' the same thing danton. Caribou Barbie and the 'first dude' were allegedly members of the Alaskan Independence Party. If she wants to play the association game, check out this gem from the founder of the AIP.
AIP's founder, Joe Vogler made the following statements:
“I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.”
“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won’t be buried under their damn flag. I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”
Doesn't sound very patriotic to me. Lets stick to the economy because two can play at Palin's game.

Lavenderpop & Danton, I hope the Democratic Party and the Liberal 527s are listening to y'all.
Palin is a typical right-wing religious fanatic bigot. Her gender does not make her atypical. She is a common conservative, her intellect and "world view" are below common.
