The latest on the violent and tragic weekend that turned Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson's life into a nightmare. Chicago police believe they have found the body of the 7-year-old nephew of the Oscar-winning singer-actress.
Reportedly the body of Julian King was found "in backseat on the floor" of the missing white Chevrolet Suburban. The SUV is registered to Jason Hudson, the singer's brother, who was killed along with his mother, Darnell Donerson, in their home on Friday.
The boy is the son of Hudson's sister and was missing from the crime scene. Over the weekend, the star of Dreamgirls, who recently spoke to Rod 2.0, offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew. Hudson is seen at left with her sister, mother and the nephew.
"Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely," Hudson said in a posting on her MySpace page Sunday. "If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately."
In custody is Hudson's 27-year-old brother-in-law, William Balfour, who is married to Hudson's sister Julia. Balfour has a long rap sheet and "spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle."
When speaking to Rod 2.0 in September, Jennifer Hudson said the publicity surrounding her newfound fame was causing some problems for her family. This triple homicide is a tragedy on so many levels that goes beyond the mere pressures of autograph seekers and publicity hounds. There is no telling what Jennifer Hudson is going through right now. Let us pray for her and wish for peace for this family.

Too many guns in the hands of too many sick-ass fools in our country.
