Obama Pitches Chicago 2016
Could Chicago host the 2016 summer Olympics? The New York Times reports the "city is basking in a moment of triumph that is spilling well beyond the confines of politics" and the 2016 bid "which once seemed like a fanciful pitch, suddenly feels far closer to a sure thing."
An integral part of the new sales pitch is President-Elect Barack Obama. Chicago's ABC 7 reports the president-elect has recorded a new pitch for Chicago's Olympic bid and "Obama's message will be played at an important gathering of nearly 40 European members of the International Olympic Committee Friday in Turkey." On the tape, the president-elect talks of his "commitment to bringing the games to Chicago in 2016" and believes the Olympics can help improve "struggling neighborhoods" in the city.

I Love Chicago (being born near there in gary, indiana) i think it's a perfect choice...and upwardly mobile, as we see with Obama
