This is beyond disgraceful. More allegations involving sexual misconduct for the disgraced Rev. Ted Haggard, formerly one of the nation's leading right-wing, anti-gay evangelicals until he admitted having crystal methamphetamine-fueled PnP sessions with gay hustler Mike Jones. A Colorado Springs bail bondsman appears on the Michelangelo Signorile Show and reports "ten more cases of sexual misconduct on the part of Ted Haggard and that three of these involve minors"
Bobby Brown originally reported the allegations to the Colorado Springs Gazette. Brown appeared on Signorile's show late Friday to report more details that show New Life Church, police and local law enforcement covered up Haggard's lurid and predatory behavior.
BOBBY BROWN: I am currently investigating, it's up to ten [cases of sexual misconduct that have not been reported on the part of Ted Haggard] right now...
MICHELANGELO SIGNORILE: But they’ve come to talk to you?
BB: Yes, they’ve come forward --
MS: Will any of them be going public?...Will you be going public with the names, with these people?
BB: As they agree to do so, absolutely.
MS: And are any of them at that point?
BB: We are working on it right now. And I’ll be honest with you, my first move, obviously before I would go public, would be to contact our district attorney’s office and..If they’re willing to talk to the district attorney, if in fact it’s a situation that requires that, that would be the first step---
MS: Are any of these individuals underage?
BB: I am looking at probably three that I know for a fact.
MS: That were underage when this happened?
BB: Right, according to them.
Even more damning allegations for New Life Church. Brown reports one of the numerous pastors under Haggard, Stephen Evans, was convicted in 1999 of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy and later admitted to sexual contact with his own 14-year-old son and his own 15-year-old daughter. (PDF of court case here.) The child molestation charge was hidden from the media and "with the help and backing of New Life Church, Evans served no jail time at all, cutting a plea deal in which he’d agree to a "restoration" at the church—yes, just like the one that Ted Haggard went through to supposedly make him straight!—while serving five years on probation."
These are just the latest in a series of scandalous allegations that describe long-term cover-up of sexual misconduct at the anti-gay, social conservative New Life Church. Two weeks ago a former church volunteer came forward to disclose church elders paid him hush money to conceal his sexual relationship with Haggard. Grant Haas says Haggard was open about his sexual activity with other men, was into bondage and other kink, and, had a much more worse problem with crystal meth than was disclosed. Oh and Haas says despite her claims otherwise, Gayle Haggard was aware of her husband's extra-curricular activities and the couple even molded a dildo together for double penetration. The couple that prays together—or is it "preys"?—stays together.
More New Life Church Revelations [Signorile]

This is a freakin' outrage. The New Life Church sounds like a sex club.

Great job Signorile and thanks!
This is not funny but it is always those churches with the fundamentalist anti gay zealots that have all the repressed sexuality, pedophilia and freakiness. It seems you never heard about these things at liberal and progressive churches, certainly not at the pro gay affirming congregations.

For a 'heterosexual with issues' the 'issues' are disgusting, seedy and criminal. This man is a pervert how dare he call himself a man of God. And then going to try to deny gays our rights! Hopefully there will be some jail time.

Proving once again that evangelical are a soap opera of sleaze.

Didn't Haggard deny approaching or having sex with any other men besides Jones? What a liar.
And I always suspected about the wife. She enabled this sleazy bs.

Rod, man, you are a read. I love it.
Work. It. Out!

These people have the nerve to pass judgment and fight against our rights. They are having orgies up in the church and targeting you boys. To Catch a Predator could do a whole season in this church.

I don't like the way the media are covering this. Having gay sex is not sexual misconduct, though sex with minors is. The media should be saying that three incidents of sexual misconduct occurred.

LIBHOMO, I'm framing Haggard's sexual activity at New Life Church as "sexual misconduct" because he was the church founder and senior pastor. Any sexual activity with staff, volunteers, congregation could be construed as harassment, coercive, etc. There was also at least one legal settlement that we are aware of at New Life Church. That, combined with the additional charges from several other pastors, qualifies as sexual misconduct.
But the mere fact that we're even discussing Haggard's alleged sexual misconduct with minors makes the adult gay sex a moot point.

Wherever there is evangelical Christianity, you will find financial corruption and loveless sex.
It really is that simple.

If you want to read about sick sexual torture in the name of God then read up on the Inquisitions. Those were some sick billies out there and this man proves their spirits still exist.
Even though he is no longer with us I still believe Rev. Falwell was a closeted gay man.
