Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week has wrapped up and one of the most memorable shows was the Diesel Black Gold F/W 2009 collection. Some familiar faces (and bodies!) were featured in the "hobo chic" runway show, such as Rod 2.0 crush objects Shawn Sutton, seen above, and Dominique Hollington.
Shawn Sutton stomped the runways during the recent Paris Fashion Week, walking for Thierry Mugler and Givenchy, among others. Below is Dominique Hollington, whose abs and smile (unfortunately not seen here) are featured in the new Benetton print campaign. Dominique walked for Versace at Milan Fashion Week.
Diesel's traditional greys, blacks and whites were on display but there were splashes of color. Of course, the signature theme of the collection was the bohemian look, " an unorganized element to each styled outfit that completed the street-inspired looks." Not particularly a fan of some of the more theatrical pieces, but this jacket work by Shawn Sutton is a keeper.
Lots of star wattage in the front rows, including Kate Bosworth, hipster and gay friendly rapper Common, Irish singer Roisin Murphy and Nicole Ritchie. The Diesel show was a reunion of sorts. In September, Roisin was featured in a fashion forward editorial in Out with models Dominique Hollington, Salieu Jalloh and Courtney Taylor.

I love it, I love it, I love these black models getting some work! That is what happens when you get a black president, everyone is forced to take notice and diversify. And thanks for continuing to show it, I can see these beautiful black men and women every day.

i'm very happy for dominique but would like to see him smile more. but perhaps that is not ptractical for runways. he looks a lot better when he smiles.

I don't know many Rappers, but that Common is one sexy young man. I love his beard. You say he's gay-friendly--how friendly?
