The latest on John Katehis, the 16-year-old Satan-worshiping knife collector who has admitted to the bloody slaying of radio newsman George Weber in a rough sex-for-cash-hookup gone wrong. Katehis pleads not guilty to the murder of former ABC News radio personality, claiming he was acting in "self-defense" when he stabbed Weber at least 50 times in his Brooklyn apartment.
Defense attorney Jeffrey Schwartz claims that Katehis is the victim. He charges his client was lured to Weber's apartment and that any action Katehis did was in self defense. "It seems like Mr. Weber had this whole secret life that no one knew about," Schwartz said. "He went by the name of SmotherBoy on Craigslist, which is a way he either lured or attempted to lure other underage boys into his lair, supplied them, or at least Mr. Katehis, with drugs and alcohol, attempted to get him to do some sadomasochistic sex to him and the situation got out of control."
While Katehis's emotional parents would not comment, Schwartz said that his client is a confused teen. "He's a normal child who might have been boasting and bragging like we all do on his Facebook page to try to look like a macho ninja person," said Schwartz.
Police say Katehis admits responding to Weber's Craigslist ad offering $60 for rough oral sex. The teen, who allegedly killed Weber after a cocaine-fueled bondagePNP session gone wrong, will be tried as an adult. Katehis' attorney has subpoeaned the hard drives from both men's computers. It seems like we will be hearing much more about George Weber's sex life in the months to come ...

well we knew it was only a matter of time before the baby face killer became the real victim here

Please, if this attorney can actually win this case by relying on a self defense motive for a 16 year old that allegedly stabbed a man 50 times while the man was already in bondage; well than, this attorney either deserves that JD or our justice system is even further in the toilet than I originally assumed.

The old closet case was trolling for underage boys and gave them drugs and liquor. 'Nuff said

I think he was a victim. That creepy homophobic guy lured young men to his house for sex.
I don't feel one bit sorry for the victim NOT ONE BIT.
I don't think this boy should get locked away for good. He needs help, he should be in a hospital. not locked in a adult prison.

Well, that's an interesting way to look at this awful incident, Giselle.
" He needs help, he should be in a hospital."
I sure wouldn't want to be the night nurse on duty--on his floor 'cause I think he's an evil-azz, motha' f.....

First of all, the victim's age does not negate that this young man chose to answer the ad in Craig's List. The ad clearly stated that the victim wanted rough sex. It was quite explicit and clear, so this young man is no saint. He knew what he was going to do. I refuse to judge or blame the victim because of his sexual taste or his age. How do we know that this 16 year old was honest about his age when they met? We were all teenagers and they are not all honest and clean cut. This is not a child. This is a young man who could have some serious issues. If he is found guilty, he does not need to be back on the streets.

That's an interesting analysis Giselle. The "creepy homophobic" guy wasn't too homophobic cuz he was advertising for gay sex.
And the teen wasn't "lured". The ad clearly said rough gay sex and money was offered.
But you keep telling yourself that, sweety ...

I will not be surprise if they analyze Weber's hard drive and learn he placed many ads like this, looking for young Latino trade. I do not fault the victim but would not be surprise if they have to plead this down. If there are other cases the jury could be turned off by the older man who perverted and corrupted these youngsters

i wonder would some people feel differently if the victim were young and good looking

@Danny Rivera
Umm YES he was a anti homophobic closet case. listen to his old shows on the radio nothing but a homophobic closet case.
you can be anti-gay and a homophobic twisted closet case just ask any of those pastors who raped young boys.

''"He went by the name of SmotherBoy on Craigslist, which is a way he either lured or attempted to lure other underage boys into his lair, supplied them''
