That's a great article as it shows that the black glbt community is not usually a part of nor welcomed in the main gay neighborhoods of any city in the USA. I have never felt at home in Hillcrest, West Hollywood or the Castro just like an unwanted visitor and its wonderful that there is a place in Chicago that black gays can call home.

LOVE IT!

The gay pride symbol is a rainbow which means DIVERSITY. We are everywhere and come in all colors.

I am black and gay and grew up on Chicago's south side. There is plenty that I love about the gayborhood on Halsted, but as much as my own people get on my nerves, I'd rather spend my money with "my people" sometimes. You know what I mean?

I am so glad Black gays are coming out of their glass closets in their own neighborhoods!
