LaShawn Merritt, the Olympic 400 meter gold medalist, literally floats over the finish line as he collects gold at the World Athletic Championships in Berlin. The 23-year-old easily dispatched rival and twice world champion Jeremy Wariner "with a powerful finish to grab the only major title missing from his collection in a time of 44.06 seconds," notes Reuters.
No love lost between Merritt and Wariner, who helped Team USA win the 4x400 relay gold in Beijing. They will team up again for the relays on Sunday.
As always, LaShawn is quite fit in all the right places with a bulge or perhaps a baton in his singlet. WHEN YOU JUMP, watch the video from all the angles and more exquisite photos of the LaShawn Merritt hotness. Oh and quite a bit of major tongue action, too.
Looking oh-so-fit in the red is Renny Quow who won bronze for Trinidad & Tobago. Much more of Renny tomorrow.
Oh and do Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt even try to pretend their like each other?
