NAACP Board Chairman becomes one of the latest high-profile endorsements of the National Equality March.
The veteran civil rights activist explains: "GLBT rights are civil rights; there are no 'special rights' in America. Everyone has rights—or should have—and I am happy to join in this battle for justice and fairness."
Last month it was announced Bond—who has an excellent record on LGBT rights and marriage equality—would co-chair the NAACP’s LGBT Equality Task Force. In February, Bond and the NAACP called for the overturn of California's Proposition 8. The 100-year-old organization itself has "not taken a position" on same-sex marriage.
Chicago Congressman Danny K. Davis, another strong black LGBT ally, also endorses the march.
I just love and adore this man, so confident in the fact that we all need to be treated fairly and without prejudice and stands up for that belief, despite what some in the NAACP would want to hear.

I love the man, too, but that march is gonna be a debacle of a tatrum without Congress in town for us to lobby.
