Breaking News Online, the Washington Post and the New York Times report Laura Ling and Euna Lee, the two U.S. journalists recently sentenced to 12 years in jail, have been "pardoned."
North Korea’s official news agency, KCNA, reports Kim Jong-il, the country’s ailing and reclusive leader, granted the two American journalists a "special pardon" which releases them from detention, following a meeting with former President Bill Clinton in Pyongyang. The journalists will accompany Clinton on his return home. Way to go former President Clinton.
