Whitney Houston continues her European tour. Last night she performed "Million Dollar Bill" live on France's popular "Le Grand Journal" which boasts a phab 60s stage design and lighting. "It's a wonderful feeling to take off all these years and return here for this greeting,' she said to the applause. Houston performed "I Look to You" on German's Wetten Dass over the weekend.
Oh and to amp up the gay factor: Karl Lagerfeld was on "Le Grand Journal"—his second appearance in as many days on Rod 2.0—and spoke with the diva.
It's a nice live set. Whitney's range is perfect for the studio, the acoustics are excellent and the back-up singers added an unexpected three-part gospel harmony. JUMP for the performance and interview. Enjoy.

Man, you need an award for the excellent Whitney coverage. Love the gospel-ish three-part harmonies from the background singers.

Lord,
I love this Whitney! She is SO feisty! "I HAVE TRANSCENDED MANY CHARTS!" (and then the eyes saying 'DO YOUR HOMEWORK'...I AM WHITNEY "THE BODYGUARD" HOUSTON!"
I think she looks exquisite!

She looks ravishing, just as she did in the 80s.
Is it just me or those last two interviewers were completely out of line/suspect in their attempt to confine Whitney's career to R&B? not that there's anything wrong with R&B btw...(plus they referred to her as the "princess of R&B", implying obviously that there's a queen who is NOT her).
First off -as Whitney aptly replied- her career transcended just one genre, as she's recorded in pop, soul, R&B, gospel and more...and secondly, I could not imagine the same two bozos sitting in front of Madonna and calling her 'princess' of anything.

Whitney is a true diva. She sang her song, sang a bit of another, and then cussed that man out for calling her an R&B singer. And the crowd loved it.
And her wig was on point!

I noticed that a lot of people talked about how good she looked...But her voice is questionable. I hope and pray to god she gets back what she lost vocally. Because right now!!...womp...womp...womp...

Questionable or not....by the reaction of the audience, she did it.

for the love of mary, come on now! everytime there's a whitney post someone has to mention the degradation of her vocal ability. hello? on what planet do you live? how many pop tarts out there get by by there looks and over-indulging sexual personas? take ciara for example and Rihanna... enough said.
whitney actually has nothing to prove except to show the world she's out of a bad place. she's done it all, she's paved the way for many female vocalist. and even the overnight, wanna be singers cite her as a role model.
honestly her voice don't sound that bad to me. i grew up in a neighbourhood where whitney's voice/tracks/cds were very ubiquitous and it's a wonderful feeling to hear her new offering being pumped through the speakers of every second car passing by today. if you feel so upset about the quality of ther voice, go out and uy Barb Streisands new cd. period.

I am sincerely happy for her. I have been getting into a lot of her music that was out when I wasn't yet a thought and LAWD, this girl could sing a ballad almost as well as Toni Braxton.
