Far right-wing Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who has been roundly criticized for his opinion that the Commonwealth's public colleges and universities must abolish policies that protect gays and lesbians from discrimination, was asked by WTKR Newschannel 3 if he believed gays are a "detriment" to society.
Q: Do you think that gays—the practice of homosexuality—is a detriment to our culture?
CUCCINELLI:The acts are. You certainly want everybody in your society to be integrated into your society. So, that’s a focus I’d like to take, but there’s a distinction. And it’s one that the General Assembly seems to be wrestling with every year, and we’ll leave that one to them for now.
In related news: Cuccinelli vows to sue the federal government if health care reform is passed, claiming health care insurance mandates are unconstitutional.
Is Virginia for lovers ... or haters? Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP ...

The reporter's tone (WHO USES THE WORD "DETRIMENT" IN ASKING A QUESTION?) was a set-up and sounds like they agree with his madness! Lord, VA is apparently for HATERS!
