A softer and more mature Chris Brown is featured in a stunning editorial in the new issue of FLAUNT. The editors have kindly provided Rod 2.0 with an exclusive preview for readers.
Kevin Amato lenses the six page editorial and Long Nguyen is the style director. The same creative team was behind Haaz Sleiman's hotness, American Idol Jenry Bejarano's bulging couture and that hot-ta-def Prada feature with Shawn Sutton and Salieu Jalloh. The styling includes Tom Ford, Prada, Diesel and Calvin Klein.
A few more AFTER THE JUMP ....
In related news: Chris Brown continues his media rehabilitation after his assault of former girlfriend Rihanna. On Tuesday, the Virginia native ralled youth for the U.S. Census at Virginia Union University. On Thursday, Breezy announced an upcoming tour of the United Kingdom.
Also: At a February status hearing for his plea deal from the assault, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg said Brown was "doing really well" at completing his sentence of counseling, community labor and probation. That's good news.

Wow. I aint even gonna front. The fotos are hawt. I like this look for him.

Good for him. I'd like to see him bounce back. Hey Dards44, care to comment on any of the white celebrities that have abused their wives/girlfriends and still kept their careers?

Every time I see Chris Brown, I get the notion that his nutts stink! Dont know why, but he really does not do it for me.
Remember back in the day, light and lovelys like Christopher Williams and Al B Sure, cuties all the way. Now you have scrawny Christ Brown. Mmmmm, no thanks!
Posted by: Observer-Lightskinbruh | 16 April 2010 at 15:02
pics are tight and thanks for giving C Breezy another chyance!
Posted by: DeAndre | 16 April 2010 at 15:11
I'm only so-so about Chris but the photos are gorgeous. The grown and sezy look fits him better than the saggy bagging jeans. It also helps his give his career a lift imo....
And thanks for giving CB a chance. We all know how you felt about what went down with him and Rihanna.

meh!

He's def handsome, baby-faced, etc - but its hard to look at him now and not see the immature girlfriend-beater behind the smile.
Posted by: Tim Lee | 16 April 2010 at 17:43
I give credit where credit is due. Miss Brown does look good in these pictures, I'm afraid to say....Even with the drama with Rihanna.

Chris's behavior lately has been much better than it was in those months right after the assault. If only he could have gotten it together then, but I guess it takes time to really understand it. Anyway, I like most of the pics (not ALL). Its nice to see him doing SOMETHING decent. All hope is not lost for him, but he should have acted right sooner rather than later.

I swear he looks like a young Harry Belafonte, with a mess of Tatoos all over him.

Love him and I always will!!
Posted by: MW09 | 16 April 2010 at 21:42
Surely, it doesn’t matter who you beat, so long as you look good while doing it.
Posted by: Jim | 17 April 2010 at 00:54
@ Jim
Not at all, but it has been a year later and he has been calming himself down and serving his sentence. Rod and others here have been very critical of Mr. Brown. No where in the post did Rod say "it doesn't matter who you beat!"
There is nothing wrong with moving on!

No where in the post did Rod say "it doesn't matter who you beat!"
That's true, but I'm not sure I can say the same about someone who says "Love him and I always will!!"

Remember, this industry is tough, ruthless, and heartless. They love you today, but will they love you tomorrow?
These young (and older new) artists with these stank attitudes need to stay focused on their art, talent, and stop trying to be on all these blogs, magazines, and entertainment news shows as best dressed, most fab party goer, or dating the most women/men.
As Heidi Klum says on Project Runway..."One day you in, the next day ... You're out!"
Listen up, Rhianna, Keri, Nikki, Cassi, and on and on and on and on.....

Why has there not been the media degradation of Charlie Sheen? After his SECOND domestic abuse bout and with a DAMN GUN???I HATE THAT AMERICA IS STILL SO F*CKING BIASED. THIS KID WAS FIGHTING A WILD WOMAN WHILE DRIVING A LAMBO AND HIS CAREER IS OVER. NOT ONE WHITE MALE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM>>SEAN PENN, ROB LOWE, CHRISTIAN SLATER, JACK NICHOLSON>>I AM JUST DISGUSTED AT THE DIFFERENCE IN TREATMENT..
Posted by: asdf | 17 April 2010 at 13:20
To be fair, as much as I agree the black male celebrities receive a disproportionate amount of attention for negative things and are judged differently, I wouldn't exactly say Chris Brown's career has suffered at all. Far from it, it seems.
This photos are nicely done and well styled but this boy has all of two facial expressions. Not very interesting to look at.

@ asdf
I agree that there is selective outrage when it comes to white and black male celebrities. However, you must also remember that the game was CHANGED COMPLETELY when that picture of Rihanna's battered face was revealed. Had that not happened, it would have been a totally different situation.
I was one of the very few people who had compassion for Chris and hoped he would get it together. Now he has, but he took a little longer than what he should have.
I don't know if Rihanna is a wild woman or not, but she didn't deserve what she got. If she was wildin out in the car, then he should have gotten out and called the police. But we know he chose to handle it differently. I wish them both the best and its time to Move On!
@ Marc
His career has suffered quite a bit. He had VERY limited exposure when trying to promote his latest album. He did'nt appear on any of the big ticket programs. His album was NOT sold in Walmart and a few other BIG stores. I'm not even sure if he managed to even sell 500,000 (US) copies. He should have waited and I don't know if it was his choice or his label, but it was a bad idea to release that album when they did. I think he did pretty well overseas though.
He now has a chance to truly redeem himself, I'm hoping he doesn't mess it up.

All the tattoos look like a "mess" of confusion!!!
Cute boy. But still has that dark spirit emitting from within, though. He's trying...I'm wishing him the best but preparing for worst. I'll check'em out in about 2-3 years...
Posted by: Angel | 18 April 2010 at 02:05
He looks BEAT! SMASHING! He's a HIT! Many will try to BTTE his style!
There will be no big comeback for him. He's young enough to seek a second career in another field other than mainstream entertainment.
Posted by: blathlete | 18 April 2010 at 05:52
asdf, you lost credibility refering to Rihanna as a "wild woman". The photos speak for themselves and no, I don't feel sorry for for him at all.
He's much better of than most 19 year old kids of color. Never will understand why people idolize those who probably don't care for you or LGBT communities of color in any shape or form.
