The author of the critically acclaimed Pier Queen seen on HBO's Def Poetry Jam and the movie Ski Trip, says he was honored to join the campaign. Emanuel Xavier tells Rod 2.0, "This is a very important cause. Too many people use religion as a form of oppression. Marriage is about love and we all have a right to share our lives with whom we want."

New York City's El Museo del Barrio will stage their very first Gay Pride event in June and will feature selections from Legendary, whose title track is a tribute to the ballroom scene.
