MICHAEL JACKSON: New Image at Auction, Joe Jackson, Tributes

This is the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death.

This never-before-seen portrait of the pop icon will go up for auction later this year. "The portrait, entitled Michael Jackson's Blue Eye, was shot by French photographer Arno Bani in 1999 and was one of the options for the cover shot of the singer's tenth and final studio album Invincible released in 2001. The solemn photograph depicts Jackson with super-smooth skin and a round blue patch of glittery make-up around his eye.... Parisian photographer Arno Bani claims Jackson contacted him when he was 23 years old, after seeing his fashion photography in a newspaper."

  Fans began arriving yesterday at Forest Lawn in Glendale, Calif., to spend the anniversary of MJ's death near the mausoleum.

Jackson's estate prepares "exploitation" lawsuit against businessman who partnered with Katherine Jackson's  to sell "more than 250 unreleased songs, as well as nearly 20,000 photos of the pop legend. [Howard] Mann is working with Katherine Jackson to bring these items to the public, but is cutting the Jackson estate and children out of the proceeds. Mann also has plans with Katherine to release several albums featuring the previously unheard songs, as well as a possible biopic on Katherine herself."

In a new interview with Britain's "GMTV", Michael's sister LaToya again claims the pop star was murdered. "Michael was murdered for his [music] catalog. Michael was worth so much more dead than alive. His children deserve the truth, I think his parents deserve the truth, his family and his fans." LaToya says that Dr. Conrad Murray's continued freedom is "a slap in the face" to the family and fans.

I tend to agree with Latoya on this one. I didn't pay much attention to her saying this last year, but I have since learned that there are some very "shady" things happening in the industry these days. Every now and then, you will see someone on youtube talking about it, but most people dismiss what they're saying as conspiracy theories instead of truth. I believe Michael was murdered and I think it was made to look a certain way.
