Vive la France! Pascal Martinot-Lagarde of France finishes first in the Men's 110 Meter Hurdles at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Martinot-Lagarde became the first Frenchman ever to win the gold in that event.
The 19-year-old is France's 110M hurdles junior champion and is already "dreaming" of the London Olympics in 2012. Look out Dayron Robles, here comes the competition. Another image AFTER THE JUMP ...

What a dream boat.
The French would say "Vive la France" btw.

Lovely long legs, and a nice face to boot!
When you get back to the states, look for this on the Universal Sports channel. They are showing Diamond league action as well as Junior action.

Thanks, Rod, for reporting on this event.
I assumed that was a French flag drawn on Martinot-Lagarde’s cheek—a display of patriotism. But it turns out it’s an Acadian flag, the unofficial flag of French maritime Canada. Martinot-Lagarde had it drawn on his cheek to express his gratitude to the people of Moncton for the wonderful time he had there and for their hospitality. Nice.
