Let's not let the Caribbean bloc off the hook. Although the Dominican Republic opposed it, and Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago abstained, Cuba and nine CARICOM nations' votes helped provided the slim margin for the resolution's success.

So, I guess these nations think that “extrajudicial, summary, and arbitrary executions” of gay people are, well, entertaining.

So do quite a few American Christians, including some I have to work with every single day.

Have you ever seen one of those lynching postcards, popular in certain parts of the U.S. in the 1930s, that show white folks picnicking and socializing while a lynching is going on in the background? It’s kind of like that.

Yes. I've seen more than a few of them; the Chicago Historical Society had an exhibit on those a few years back.

And you're right; it was the folks that were pick-a-nicking that really boiled my blood in those postcards as opposed to the lynching itself.
