Kelis has released the video for "Brave", the fourth single from her fabulous electronic fifth studio album Flesh Tone. The Rankin-directed video is much less high concept than the videos for "Acapella" or "4th of July (Fireworks)". Kelis is featured against a blank white backdrop for one long, continuous take—without any edits—that never cuts away from the singer.

I like the simplicity of the video. Why does there have to be effects and drama- numerous outfit/ scene changes and over production for people to like a video? I like the fact that it is one take of her not hiding and standing before the camera being "strong" facing the world (viewer/ critics).
