There is a possible break in the August 25th shooting death of Durand Robinson, the co-owner of Atlanta's popular Traxx nightclub. Robinson was killed only one week before Black Gay Pride, which he helped organize.
Atlanta police confirm they have identified a person of interest. WSB reports police are "searching" for this person and have an eyewitness they want to re-interview. FOX reports the person of interest is in police custody.
The 50-year-old Robinson was gunned down in an apparent carjacking gone wrong on a southwest Atlanta street. Police tell WSB the suspect fled in Robinson’s SUV, crashed nearby, fled on foot ... and neglected to take the cash. Police also say the suspect was someone that Robinson knew.
In an unrelated incident ten days after the Robinson shooting, two young men who were killed execution-style after attending events at Atlanta's Black Gay Pride weekend. Those killers were also never apprehended.
