Daniel Hernandez Jr., the college intern whose sharp reflexes are credited with helping to save the life of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, was recognized during Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's "State of the State" address. The 20-year-old openly gay Hernandez received a standing ovation from the legislature ....
And a hug from the governor. Irony ... much?
Watch AFTER THE JUMP ...

IRONY: He's gay.
IRONY: He's Latino.
IRONY: He's a hero in a state that would vilify him if they could.
IRONY ABOVE IRONY: God moves in powerful ways at just the right time. He's a 20 year old JUNIOR who is built for Community Service and I know that he will do great things for his state. Bravo, Mr. Hernandez, because when others were panicking and running for cover, he had the coolness of collection to think I MUST DO SOMETHING and he did.
KUDOS!!!
