« AJC's Cynthia Tucker: "Bishop" Eddie Long is a "Homophobe, Narcissist and Con Artist" | Main | CAMEROON: 3 More Arrests for Homosexuality »

I have received same sex benefits from the US Government for some time now based on my British Civil Partnership with my American partner. They have been pretty good to us. However, this is sporadic across Government Departments and until there is legislation to force them into it there does seem to be a free for all right now, no assurances. For example, diplomatic staff might have same sex recognition but immigration officers don't. Once Government adopts these policies corporations tend to follow suit, its up to central Government to be the role model. The UK equivalent departments are in the top 20 of Stonewall's diversity champions, if it can happen there it can happen in the US...it just takes longer in America!
