Former Arkansas governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee announced on his FOX News show that he would not run for president in 2012. "All the factors say go, but my heart says no," said Huckabee on his Fox News Channel show.

Huckabee, who won the early 2008 Iowa Caucus and finished second the John McCain in the GOP primaries, removed himself from contention "despite polling that suggested he would be a strong player" among social conservatives, reported the Washington Post.
During the 2008 primary season, the ordained Southern Baptist minister compared homosexuality to "sadomasochism, pedophilia and necrophilia." The stridently anti-gay social conservative once proposed a quarantine for the HIV positive.
Huckabee becomes the latest high-profile Republican to skip the race and his decision "leaves America’s social conservatives without a clear candidate to throw their support behind," adds the Post. Watch the announcement AFTER THE JUMP ...

Why do I think that he just tallied it up, and decided he could make more from his regular Fox News paycheck than he could by siphoning off campaign contributions? And so much less work!
