DFS

such an accomplished man. What a loss.

This is very sad. His new work on Cane was great and is the first major new edition of this important work. It is even more sad because the area of research he was prominent in is gaining new traction as people look beyond the simple race/class/gender divides and deal with more complicated issues of personhood. His record speaks for itself and he will surely be missed.

It's such a shame that I'm just learning about this great man in his death. May he rest in peace. I hope to discover more about him.
