I just don't understand why society celebrates these male athletes who continue to have children out of wedlock, but castigate athletes like the WNBA player in the following story who wants to make a lifetime commitment to someone she loves.

They only celebrate the male athletes who win games, not because they have kids. Those athletes,married or unmarried, who aren't winning or not contributing, you neither hear nor read about.
