Meet the "Model" and Hustler Who Targeted "Elmo" Puppeteer

Everything that looks good may not be good for you. Your first look at "BQ Sex Siren Realness" Sheldon Stephens, the 24-year-old Pennsylvania man who falsely accused Elmo Puppeteer Kevin Clash of having sex with him when he was underage. Stephens is described an aspiring model with "multiple arrests", according to The Smoking Gun.

[Stephens] is a struggling model/actor who was once arrested for the knifepoint robbery of $250,000 in jewelry from a music manager for whom he interned. It is unclear how Stephens, who once lived in New York City, met Clash, who resides on Manhattan’s West Side. A friend of Stephens said that he "attracts these high-powered men," but that the model wannabe was a "God-fearing guy" and "not just a pretty boy."

Online searches turned up dozens of modeling-type photos of Stephens, who often uses the name “Sheldon Xzavier.” However, there is no evidence that the 5’ 10” Harrisburg resident has met with any success as a model or actor. ... He also has a page on the Xtube porn site, but it appears inactive.

Stephens reportedly has been arrested several times. The most serious criminal charges were filed in September 2009 "when he was arrested at the Harrisburg airport after stepping off a flight from Los Angeles." At the time, he was sporting a white gold necklace and rdiamond ring that a Los Angeles music manager claimed Stephens took from him at knifepoint. Stephens told cops the $250,000 in jewelry was a gift. The case was eventually dismissed.

Stephens made a number of unsubstantiated claims against Clash that were published Monday on the gossip web site TMZ. Stephens reportedly contacted Clash’s employers at “Sesame Street” to claim he had sex with Clash when he was 16 years old.

The claims caused an avalanche of bad publicity. The 52-year-old Clash was forced to take a leave of absence from the iconic children's television show. Stephens recanted on Tuesday and said "his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship."

Details of a settlement are coming out which may muddy the waters for Kevin Clash. Supposedly Kevin paid this guy to recant his accusations.

I hope, Clash's career can survive all this.

I feel horrible that this mans career and reputation has been ruined. As a now 48 yr old I look back and these guys were me, I trolled tea rooms looking for and having sex with men old enough to be my father, I was 15. I was horny and I went in there willing. I wanted to seem older so I said I was 18, my first lover didnt find my age till I was legal. He was upset and seeing whats happening to Kevin, I see why. He made sure my future was solid and we parted friends. I ran into him recently.... choices we make in life! P.S. I check I.d.'s, theyre making these young ones really big nowadays.
