This should be very revealing. For an upcoming episode of Oprah's Next Chapter, LL Cool J opened up and shared a horrific period in his young life when he struggled with child abuse.
The rapper, actor and designer first discussed the experience in his 1998 autobiography I Make My Own Rules. LL wrote that a man who lived with his mother beat him relentlessly.
"It wasn't sexual," LL Cool J told Oprah. "It was just beatings, take all your clothes off, kicked out in the snow, stay outside."
"Torture," replied Oprah.
