Durand Robinson was killed three years ago in Atlanta. Robinson was the co-owner of Atlanta's popular Black gay nightclub Traxx. Robinson was gunned down in a carjacking three years ago last week on August 25 2010. It was only one week before the Black Gay Pride celebration in Piedmont Park, which he helped to organize and promote.
In an unrelated incident ten days after the Robinson shooting Two young men were killed execution-style on September 5, 2010 after attending events over Atlanta's Black Gay Pride weekend. The alleged killer was finally apprehended in April 2012.
