In case you like 'em tall, big and thick in all the right places: Introducing the 6' 3" and 235 pounds of Los Angeles Dodgers' outfielder Yasiel Puig.
Puig flips the ball into the stands during Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix. The Dodgers defeated the Diamondbacks 6-0 on Friday and won a three-day sweep of the weekend series.
And swings his big ole' bat.
The 23-year-old Puig—pronounced "pwiy"— was born in Cuba and was one of the star players on the Cuban national baseball team. Puig made international news when he defected from Cuba in 2012 and signed a seven-year, $42 million contract with the Dodgers. Puig's incredible journey from Cuba to Los Angeles via Mexico involved human traffickers, smugglers, a drug cartel, a speedboat and a Santeria priest. The investigative report is detailed in the May issue of Los Angeles magazine.
