The weekend sporno: The undefeated Chad Dawson (right) finally met up with three-time champion Antonio Tarver to claim the light heavyweight boxing title. The fight between the two left-handers was broadcast by Showtime and was one of the division’s most anticipated matchups in recent years.
First the weigh-in, which, was always, features the fighters stripping down to their skivvies. Dawson clocks in at a healthy 174 pounds. Oh and how cute is it that he and Tarver prefer boxer briefs, but Tarver prefers a tighter fit.
Dawson landed the lone knockout in the final round. He was winner by unanimous decision. The 26-year-old fighter is 27-0 with 17 knockouts. Both fighters look like they can give a good hurtin', if ya know what we mean ...
