Homoerotic Omarion Fan Fiction!

Not sure are you familiar with this one, but ThugFiction is a fan fiction site devoted to all things homoeriotic around basketball players, rappers and male R&B stars. It's a nice change of pace from the usual fan fic, which is more obsessed with the LOTR trilogy and NKOTB. One of our favorite stories is "Strip Search", which features R&B poptart Omarion caught with his pants down (literally) while, umm, entertaining himself in his car. Naturally, a police officer observes the suspicious activity and demands a strip search ...

If something like this got out he could never live it down. Defeated, Omarion started to strip. He unbuttoned his shirt and passed it to the officer. Next, he pulled of his t-shirt and white beater which exposed his muscles glistening with sweat in the summer heat. He dropped his jeans once again and also passed them to the officer. Nervously, he pulled off his boxers, fully exposing his naked body. “Take your shoes and socks off” said the officer. “Damn, why?” Omarion complained. The officer smirked “You could have some drugs or a weapon in your shoes too”. Omarion mumbled something under his breath then reached down and pulled off his shoes and socks. “Sit on the car” the officer ordered...

In the next paragraph, the story goes from NC-17 to rated XXX, so you might want to make sure there are no coworkers looking over your shoulder. Let's just say that apparently Omarion's much-discussed assets are becoming legendary.

BET "College Hill" Star: "I Am NOT Dating Bow Wow"

It's been at least several weeks since news of Bow Wow and Omarion, so, here is the latest on "teh internets." One of the coeds on BET's "College Hill" releases a statement saying that she is not dating Bow Wow. When reporting the denial, EURweb.com, the major black lifestyle, news and entertainment portal, also addresses the speculation surrounding Bow Wow and his BFF. Or, maybe the BF.

"For months, the black blogosphere has been rife with talk that Bow Wow is gay and dating R&B singer Omarion. According to blogger Sandra Rose, someone in Bow Wow's camp denied the rumors and stated that Ashley R., a 21-year-old marketing major, is Bow Wow's girlfriend.

Not so, says Ashley."

The reality tv "star" says that she and the brown-eyed rapper-actor and Flaunt model "went out a few times as friends several years ago, but it was nothing more than that."

As far as Sandra Rose's reliability is concerned, well, let's not go there. In January, she did link to our story  of the Omarion interview in Vibe (PDF) where he said he liked "wearing tight jeans to show off [his] figure, but, the quote was incorrectly attributed to an alleged BET interview. (All this publicity for BET, maybe she's a publicist?) The gossip blogger also wrote "gay chat rooms lit up like Christmas trees" at the site of Omarion's tight pants, and, posted a comment from one of our regular readers. Not cool. With this tabloid track record, it's quite possible Bow Wow's camp never said the lil rapper was "dating" the reality star.

Maybe it's time to give this cute lil couple their space ...

Bow Wow Flaunts It

It's been a minute since Rod 2.0 reported on singer-"actor" Bow Wow. The R&B poptart continues to build his modeling portfolio and glams it up for Flaunt, the edgy Los Angeles-based fashion bible whose almost-monthly editorials featuring black models and actors have become required reading.

The editorial by photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca is flawless. Bow Wow is serving over the top fashion by John Galliano, Comme des Garcons, Diesel and Prada. It's a great look for the baby brown eyed young "rapper."  But something tells us that BFF (or is it BF?) Omarion might prefer Bow Wow more on the thuggish side ...

Bow Wow: "There Was Chemistry Between Me and Omarion"

In this week's Bow Wow and Omarion news: The Bow Wow - Chris Brown tour lands in Detroit for tomorrow's performance at the Joe Louis Arena. Unfortunately, life on the road is not the same without Bow Wow's BFF. Or, is Omarion his BF?

"There was chemistry right away between me and O," Bow Wow, born Shad Gregory Moss, tells the Grand Rapids Press. "Anytime you get the chance to work with people you're cool with or you get the chance to work with someone who respects the game just as much as you respect it, nine times out of 10 you'll come up with a masterpiece. That's what me and O came out with."

If you're wondering why Bow Wow and Omarion decided to collaborate, the rap poptart says he wanted to do something "exciting" and "different." We've had a "lot of success together in this business, Bow Wow explains. "For me and O, it was something we wanted to do. It's really like a gift for the fans. Any artist in the studio can do an album by themselves. For myself, if I would have done that, it would have been my sixth album. It would have been kind of boring. I wanted to do something exciting ... something different."

Something exciting? Instant chemistry? We report, you decide.

Bow Wow and Omarion on Next Week's Episode of "Ugly Betty"

In this week's Bow Wow and Omarion news: Rod 2.0's favorite BFFs (or is it BFs?) start the new year with a bang and will appear on tonight's next week's episode of ABC's Ugly Betty, the sitcom that has developed an iconic reputation among the gays.

This isn't the much-anticipated musical episode, but, the R&B poptarts will appear as themselves and lip sync perform a song from their new album. Some spoilers ahead:  "Justin (Mark Indelicato) and his classmates pay a visit to Mode.  Betty, disturbed by the message Mode is sending to Justin and his schoolmates, persuades Daniel (Eric Mabius) to use 'real' models during fashion week."

We'll let your imagination fill in the details on who is chosen as one of the models for the fashion show where Bow Wow and Omarion lip sync perform. Also: From the screen captures we found on the internets, Betty and Bow Wow appear to be tuck in an elevator, and, judging by their reactions, they seem to enjoy the moment.

Bow Wow and Omarion Walk Out of Lame Interview with BET's Toure

Via RockaCandy: Hilarious video of Rod 2.0 faves BFFs (or is it BFs?) Omarion and Bow Wow being interviewed by self-important pop culture television journalist Touré, who recently ditched CNN for BET.

Too bad, because his CNN producers probably would never have encouraged him to channel Borat and deliberately disrespect the young'ns, telling Bow Wow that Lil Wayne's silver chain was "a lot bigger than his" and asking Omarion did he steal dance moves from ... Chris Brown.

The final straw—after Touré visibly and dramatically yawned during an answer from Omarion—was criticizing Bow Wow for answering his iPhone during the lame interview. Video and rough transcript:

BOW WOW:  You pay my bills, bruh? That's real talk, bro. Don't ask my man does he take moves from Chris Brown and don't ask him disrespectful questions about "Naked." That's real talk.
[STANDS UP AND WALKS OUT]
BOW WOW: C'mon, O. He can come out here and talk about it, too. He can talk to Big D and Big Lo, too.
[OMARION FOLLOWS]
TOURE: It was a joke.
BOW WOW: Yeah it was a joke. To ask him stupid questions about "Naked" video that was Maruqes Houston.
TOURE: I know, I know.
BOW WOW: Interview over, we're out.

On the YouTube comments, someone criticized Omarion for following Bow Wow's lead and walking off the set. The interviewer was intentionally rude, especially to Omarion, so following Bow Wow's lead was the least he could do.

At least we know who is calling the shots in that relationship!

Omarion: I Like Wearing Tight Jeans to "Show Off My Figure"

R&B poptart Omarion confirms what we have known all along: The former B2k lead singer says he enjoys wearing tight jeans because they "show off" his "figure", a none-to-subtle reference to the well-sculpted legs and bubble-butt that are driving the boys wild.

The revelation comes in the December 2007 issue of Vibe (PDF) in an interview and photo shoot with BFFs and Omarion and Bow Wow. After being asked to describe the evolution of his fashion aesthetic, Omarion's answer is refreshingly honest.

"Being so young, I want to try different things. I haven't seen many African-American males rock the skinny jeans. I really like skinny jeans, tight-fitted shirts—I think it shows off your figure. I'm all button-downs, Vuitton shades. I'm learning. And I like models, too. I gotta know models."

It's interesting that the over-the-top, tight jeans, tank top and fitted shirt aesthetic is now part of hip-hop culture, having gone from West Hollywood and the West Village, to the West Side and hip hop clubs across the country. At least Omarion is honest: He spends time in the gym and likes showing off his boyish "figure", and, we and presumably many other guys (and! girls!) enjoy watching it.

News: House Fails to Overide SCHIP Veto, Venezuela, Dodd, Out 100

· The House fails to override President Bush’s veto on the SCHIP health insurance program for children. "The final roll call was 273 to 156, falling 13 votes short of the two-thirds majority needed." The Bush Administration—which campaigned on the promise of "No child left behind"—is quite pleased that an additional 10 million children will not have insurance. "'We won this round on SCHIP," White House press secretary Dana Perino said after the vote.

· Rep. Steve King (R-IA) mocked the SCHIP program as "Socialized Clinton-style Hillarycare for Illegals and their Parents". SCHIP is an acronym for the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, does not cover undocumented immigrants, and, was created by the Republican-led Congress. Video at Think Progress which notes, "Not surprisingly, King voted today to sustain Bush’s SCHIP veto.

· Introducing the Out 100 Blog.

· As Congress debates including gays and lesbians in employment and law enforcement protection, Venezuelan gay activists launch a letter-writing effort to include "sexual orientation as a protected category in the latest round of constitutional reforms. This follows news that a legislative committee recommended that such language be included in a new version of the Venezuelan constitution currently under consideration."

· The latest sighting of Bow Wow and Omarion find the BFFs showing off their new toys.

· Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) "will block the Senate from taking up legislation that would give telephone companies immunity for their role in President George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping program." Chris Bowers at Open Left asks, "So, why not Dodd?"

· Investment bankers ♥ Hillary Clinton. "According to an analysis by Bloomberg, she picked up $748,896 from workers at Wall Street firms from July to September, which is more than the combined amount raised by Barack Obama, Rudolph Giuliani and Mitt Romney from those sources."

Rumors on the Internets: Are Omarion and Bow Wow a "Duo"?

Remember Omarion and Bow Wow's public feud earlier this year over which of the R&B pop tarts would receive "top" billing on their "Scream Tour"? Maybe there really was much more to the story... 

The latest (gay and unsourced) rumors on the internets gaining some currency across message boards and blogs describe the "real" reason behind Bow Wow's departure from super-producer Jermaine Dupri to begin collaborating with Omarion on their upcoming Duo album: The teen heart throbs are "feeling each other" and are a couple.

[A] source in JD's camp, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity, claims that the real cause for the split was that Bow Wow expressed to JD that his relationship with Omarion was more than simply musical after the two were caught engaged in a sexual activity. The source would not go into detail but said "He (Jermaine Dupri) was going nuts about it. These two were in a main room in the house doing all this. Me and two other assistants was with him (Jermaine Dupri) and we saw it going down and he sent us out of the room and was yelling and screaming at them". [...]

A producer who worked on the first Omarion-Bow Wow single released only a few months ago, confirms that, "what was going on with them in the back rooms and in the studio was more than just two dudes working on music. These dudes was feeling each other like a man and a woman."

The gossip isn't terribly original—the Hollywood gay rumor mill forever reports male actors and singers "caught" with other male actors and singers, as if no one ever thinks to lock a door or book a hotel room. On the other hand, it answers a few questions about Omarion and Bow Wow's thisclose relationship and a backstage concert video that was quickly and mysteriously pulled from YouTube several weeks ago.

Their version: "The video was taken by a backstage assistant, and showed the two, through a slightly ajar door to their green room, in what appeared to be an embrace and amongst other contact. The video stopped at what appeared to be the start of elicit contact, and in the video description the poster claims that he couldn't post the rest because Youtube does not permit nudity."

You can take it all with a grain of salt. It's worth keeping in mind that you-know-who has said several times that he's "too busy" for a girlfriend. And don't forget he was literally caught with his pants down with the others boys in B2K. Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't.

News: DC Youth Pride, Gay Rights Rally in Albany, Bow Wow

· Out in DC previews the upcoming Youth Pride, whose keynote speaker will be out former NBA player John Amaechi. Leroy Hardwoooden (left) has attended Youth Pride for the past three years. "It’s actually like Martin Luther King Day. It makes us happy, because it lets us know that we are accepted," the 18-year-old  Hardwooden explains. "Not all of us get accepted at home, you know, so it’s nice that we can come together at a park and get together with our kind. It’s like a holiday for gay kids.”

· On Thursday, the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on legislation that would add crimes based on sexuality to the federal hate crime law. The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act was introduced in March and passed a key committee last week. The bill has strong bi-partisan support and is expected to pass.

· Privacy concerns are raised after the Illinois House proposes to written consent requirements for HIV testing. According to The Chicago Tribune, the bill would enact the recent CDC recommendations that said HIV tests should be part of routine medical care for people aged 13 to 64, and, that requirements for written consent and pretest counseling should be dropped.

· Bow Wow: "I'm a sex symbol."

· Right now, more than 1000 LGBT persons are in Albany to rally and lobby state legislators on behalf of Gov. Eliot Spizer's newly-proposed same-sex marriage bill. Pride Agenda, the new blog by the Empire State Pride Agenda, is live-blogging from the event and notes "there has not been this large of a community presence in Albany since the 1971 March on Albany."
