New York's extremist Republican gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino appeared on the morning news shows to attempt control control. Over the weekend, the Buffalo attorney and real estate developer told Orthodox Jewish leaders that he doesn't want children "brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality" is acceptable.
Appearing on Good Morning America, the nominee told George Stephanopoulos, "I'm not a homophobic" and added "I have no reservations whatsoever about gays-except for marriage." Paladino did admit having some "difficulty" believing that homosexuality was not a choice.
"I’ve had difficulty with that. My [out] nephew tells me he didn’t have that choice. And I believe it’s a very, very difficult life for a young person. I believe that young people should not necessarily be exposed to that without some really, really mature background first before, so they can learn to deal with it. It is a very difficult thing. And I sensitize with it totally."
The Tea Party-backed candidate then segued into a curious diatribe on what he saw at Toronto's gay pride party. "It was a bunch of very extreme type people, wearing bikini type outfits, grinding at each other and doing these gyrations and I certainly wouldn’t let my young children see that,” he said."
Paladino continued his gay pride obsession on the Today show, slamming opponent Andrew Cuomo for taking his daughters to a celebration where scantily clad men are "grinding." "I don’t know if you’ve ever been to one, but they wear these little Speedos and they grind against each other, and it’s just a terrible thing. ... I don't think it's proper for them to go there and watch a couple of grown men grind against each other. I don't think that's proper. I think it's disgusting."
Paladino's anti-gay rhetoric comes during a highly publicized increase in gay teen suicides, and, on the same weekend the NYPD arrests 8 gang members for a savage anti-gay torture spree. Watch the crazy WHEN YOU JUMP ....
